With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Watson Sr. December 6th, 2010 at the Lady Dunn Long Term Care in Wawa, On.
For those of you that have had the great pleasure of experiencing one of his proud accomplishment being "Pine Portage Lodge" will understand what his life was all about FAMILY, FRIENDS AND THE LOVE FOR THE GREAT OUT DOORS
We were able to have him into Pine Portage this past summer a couple of times. Here you could see he was at Home and enjoyed every minute he spent at the Lodge.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends but will not be forgotten.
In 1941 at the age of 18 Dick Watson Sr. joined the R.C.A.F. and went to serve his country. After four years of flying fighter planes and being shot down three times, he returned home in 1945 as a war hero. It was at thi9s time that he decided to fulfill his dreams of starting a tourism business on Kabinakagami Lake using his military earnings. Dick and his wife Edna married in 1946 and together they began to build their future at
