ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FALL BEAR HUNT
Mike Ciemiega from Michigan bagged a Black Bear weighing in at 498# 95"Length from head to foot with a head measurement of 30.5" in Diameter
Next in line was Jim Scane from Michigan bagging a Black Bear weighing in at 395#
Les Scane from Michigan not far behind bagging a 350# Bear
Edward Bonk following with a 250# Bear
Matt McKinnon now in with a 225# Bear with a nice white horse shoe shape on it's chest
Darren Bebee bringing in a 175# Bear
All of our hunters had a great experience with some being first timers and other having done this before.
One of our hunters had a sow and her cub keep him up a tree for a few hours, with only his bow for hunting he was not able to scare them away from his stand. They contacted us as the Lodge on their two way radio so we were able to send out a rescue team and even then she wasn't giving up her food, we where able to distract her long enough for Mike to get himself out of the tree and get to the boat. This is why two way radios are great to have for communication back to the lodge or communicate to each other. Another one of our hunters had a great opportunity to video a younger bear trying to get at the food in the barrel and he was also able to get footage of a marten raiding the barrel. Hopefully I will be able to post his video once I receive it.
So not to offend any of our followers we will not show any hunting pictures on our blog. To View these photos please log into our web site at http://www.fishthefinest.com/ and click on Fall Hunting, they will be put on shortly once all pics are collected.
