My photo
Pine Portage Lodge located on Kabinakagami Lake, Watson's Algoma Vacations year round Reservation office 1-800-363-4443 is located in Wawa, Ontario, Canada
In 1941 at the age of 18 Dick Watson Sr. joined the R.C.A.F. and went to serve his country. After four years of flying fighter planes and being shot down three times, he returned home in 1945 as a war hero. It was at this time that he decided to fulfill his dreams of starting a tourism business on Kabinakagami Lake using his military earnings. Dick and his wife Edna married in 1946 and together they began to build their future at Pine Portage Lodge.

Arriving in Wawa at Watson's Skyways at 6:30 a.m. the Turbine Otter waits to fly the Allen
Moore party into Pine Portage Lodge. The weather looks pretty good and it has been really hot ranging from 20-30C which is about 70-90F.

Now that we have all of the Moore party on board they begin their 30 minute flight to Pine Portage Lodge, were great food, service, accommodations and fishing awaits them.

Their flight will take them over some beautiful Northern Ontario Wilderness were sometimes moose and bear can be seen way down below, along the many little lakes they will fly over.

Finally arriving at Pine Portage the boats are all gased up and ready to go fishing!!

"And guess who caught the biggest of the day?

Allan Moore "what a catch".

What's this Jack cooking???

....and the truth be told fishing is Hard Work!!!!
We would like to thank Jamie for taking and sharing all these photo's with us, I guess that is why you aren't in any of them.

Watch out for the Moose!!!!

This young cow moose was spotted around Pine Portage Lodge, Bill one of our fish & hunting guides started giving a moose call and was able to bring her right out of the bush. She really does look curious and a really nice pose for the camera.

"Three Generations in one "FISH"?????

Well here is how the story goes: The Tassoni party of 8 (fathers and sons) from Big Rapids, Michigan caught this stringer of fish on their first morning in about 2 hours. The one "fatter pike" hanging on the rack, when they were filleting it they found another pike about 2/3 its size inside of him and inside that pike was a bunch of minnows. Well this must have been something to see and your right "Three Generations in one Fish"!!!! Good Job Guys. We hope you all had a great time.
